2013 Red, White & BOOM Columbus will take place on Thursday, July 4th throughout various locations in Downtown Columbus.
Red, White & BOOM will take over a 2 square mile radius with over 500,000 expected to attend this Independence Day in Columbus. This all-day celebration will feature:
-Interactive activities for kids of all ages at Columbia Gas’ Children’s Park beginning at 3 p.m.
-Taste of BOOM! at 3 p.m. on the street, closed-off from Front St. to Neil Ave. and featuring cuisine from some of Columbus' best restaurants.
-An Independence Day Parad kicking off at the corner of Main St. and 2nd St., then heading across the Main St. Bridge toward Front St.; turning north on Front St. and concluding at Spring St.
-Live music and entertainment at various stages in parks throughout the 2-mile radius including the Donatos Bicentennial Park Stage, the Performance Academy Genoa Park Stage, Alive! Long St. Stage, West Hollywood Casino Stage, and East Hollywood Casino Stage.
-Fireworks at 10 p.m. launching from just outside the Veteran's Memorial on Scioto River.
