Welcome to the 2018 Park St Cantina DJ Battle, Battle for Supremacy (Cinco De Mayo Kick off Week)
This is a Club-Style Competition. We are looking for skill, song selection, crowd response, and creativity. We want you to get after it! Bring it!
2018 Rules:
-DJs will be given a 10 minute set.
-All forms of DJ equipment will be allowed (turntables, cdjs, controllers, etc.).
-DJs will be required to mix at least 3 noticeably different genres of music into their 10 minute sets. With the wide variety of genres available, “noticeably different” is defined in this context as “a variation in BPMs.” A set of Electro, Trance, and House will not be accepted. We are judging on the versatility of the DJ.
Judging:
We will have a panel of Judges, consisting of DJs and other industry professionals from around Ohio (number TBD, minimum of 5).
DJs will be judged on the following criteria: Track Selection, Mixing Ability, Creativity, Stage Presence, and Overall Excitement of the Crowd.
Each category will have a 0-10 scale, for a total of 50 points per judge.
The DJ with the highest total will be the winner.
In case of a tie, there will be a tie-breaker to decide a winner. The tie-breaker set will be 5 minutes long.
Admission:
21+ (strictly enforced)
Prizes:
Each DJ will be given a “Goodie Bag” consisting of a Competition T- Shirt and other fabulousness.
Final Winner will receive the “GRAND PRIZE” of $1,000.00! (And possibly other goodness as well!)
There will be a Second and Third Place Winner. (Prizes TBA)
